The NPO Boutaka is pleased to announce “Boutaka Camp 2025” to be held at the Ajinomoto National Training Center (Kita‑ku, Tokyo) from August 5th to August 7th 2025.

Behind the Rise of a World Champion!!
Spend three invaluable days with one of the world’s top pole‑vaulting coaches.

Our guest coach for this camp is Coach Paul Burgess, one of the world’s most exceptional pole vault coaches.

He has trained top-level athletes such as Olympic gold medalist Nina Kennedy and World Championship bronze medalist Kurtis Marschall. 

Paul’s session will be conducted with live translation in Japanese, so even those who are not confident in English can participate without worry.

We warmly welcome all pole vault coaches to join us for this special opportunity!

Paul Burgess

Three-time Olympian in competition, One of the 29 vaulters of 6 meters club. Current coach of the Australian national team. He coached Nina Kennedy to an Olympic gold medal and guided Kurtis Marshall to a sixth-place finish at the Paris Olympics. He has been named Australian Athletics Coach of the Year for three consecutive years, starting in 2022. Renowned for maximizing the potential of his athletes.

Schedule

August 5–7, 2025

● Aug 5 (Tue), 13:00–17:00: Orientation & mobility session

● Aug 6 (Wed), 9:00–17:00: Coaching sessions with vaulting

● Aug 7 (Thu), 9:00–around 13:00: Coaching sessions & closing ceremony

The detailed program will be finalized in consultation with Coach paul after registrations are submitted.

It is desirable to have a personal record of over 4.60m for men and over 3.60m for women. 

Fees

Special “Boutaka Gathering” for ages 20+

On August 6 (Wed), a paid social gathering is scheduled in Tokyo for participants aged 20 and above. Details will be sent separately.

● Please note that accommodation is not provided by the organizers. Participants are responsible for making their arrangements.

2. Once you have submitted the form, a confirmation email will be sent to you from the Boutaka Camp Office (order@boutaka.org)

3. Follow the instructions in the confirmation email to pay by the specified deadline via card. If payment is not received by the deadline, your registration will be canceled. If you must cancel before the event, please notify the office.
